Praying for the family during this difficult time. I remember when Jabari was in head start, he was so quiet, during group discussion you had to pull the answer out of him, he did know the answer, but was quiet.

My heart breaks for the family and friends of Jabari. So much is wrong in this country right now and we must stand our ground to hold those responsible for this crime against one of our children accountable.

Such a bright young man who was taken from his family at such a young age. My prayers go out to the Peoples family, as well as all of Jabari's friends. 💔🕊️❤️🩹

Where do I even begin, Jabari… I’ll never forget the first day I saw you in kindergarten. You were sitting down with your long hair braided in a pretty pattern to the back. You always kept yourself so clean. When we graduated and you cut that hair, we couldn’t tell you nothing! 😂 You were more than just a classmate to me. You were my neighbor, my friend, my people, and my peace on days I didn’t even realize I needed somebody. I’ll never forget those late nights we stayed up talking, telling dumb stories, clowning, and laughing like we didn’t have a care in the world. You had a way of making everything feel lighter. Every time I cooked, you showed up with no hesitation. Every lil kickback or chill night, you made it a priority to be there — you, Bron, Froggy, and Kanye. You didn’t just come for the vibes, you brought them. The holidays are gonna feel so empty without you showing up over here. I remember last year, July 4th, everybody met at Kanye’s house and popped fireworks at each other all night. We were tired and out of breath by the end, but we had so much unforgettable fun. Our kickbacks, our graduation party, my going-away party — you were there. Every year, you sent me a video singing happy birthday. I keep replaying that video just to hear your intelligent voice because now, all I have is memories. I’m so glad I got to spend time with you before this happened. I’m glad I got to see you smiling and laughing one last time. I never thought something like this would happen to somebody like you. Your love, your loyalty, and your energy were unmatched. You were one of a kind. Every time you came around, you brought nothing but good vibes. You made sure people felt seen, safe, and included. You were quiet, but you always stood out in any room. You never backed down from a challenge. Anything you did, you did with passion and perseverance. You were intelligent. The way you articulated your words was phenomenal. You were goal-driven, and anything that aligned with your dreams, you were all for it. We were supposed to grow old and achieve everything we talked about in class together. I miss you so much, and it hurts so bad knowing this even has to be written. I promise to keep your name alive and never stop fighting for justice for you ! I love you for life. Forever Class of 2024. Forever my friend. #JusticeForJabari 💙🕊️ With love, Ke’Perra

Support the Fight for Justice
Any flowers gifted will be donated to other families grieving due to police brutality, as well as nursing homes and community members in need — so Jabari’s light continues to touch others.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Jabari Latrell Peoples Foundation to support the ongoing fight for justice, community healing, and advocacy.
Your support honors his life, carries forward his legacy, and fuels a movement grounded in truth, healing, and justice.
Due to the overwhelming number of people asking how they can help, we’ve created a space for anyone who wishes to give a love offering — whether financial, flowers, time, service, or resources — to support both the Peoples family and the ongoing fight for justice.
Your Donation Helps Fund:
• Efforts to demand transparency and accountability
• Public awareness campaigns and peaceful demonstrations
• Memorial events and birthday celebrations in Jabari’s honor
